About the project 
Prepared Czechia (Připravené Česko) is a four-year national project (2026–2029) led by the Centre for an Informed Society (CIS) and implemented in partnership with the  European Values Center for Security Policy, Prague Centre for Media Skills (PCMS) and the Association for International Affairs (AMO).

Prepared Czechia is funded by the Alliance for a Modern State (Aliance pro moderní stát) under its Democratic and Secure State programme. The programme supports initiatives that strengthen democratic resilience, public institutions and cross-sector cooperation, contributing to a safer and more resilient Czech Republic.

Focus

Prepared Czechia promotes a shared security approach by strengthening cooperation between public institutions, businesses and civil society. Through crisis simulations, expert consultations and policy recommendations, the project identifies systemic vulnerabilities, develops practical preparedness tools and contributes to more effective crisis management, strategic communication and evidence-based public policy.

Our Contribution

PCMS contributes expertise in strategic communication, media resilience, stakeholder engagement and cross-sector cooperation. Within the project, PCMS:

  • co-designs and facilitates experiential crisis simulations and other innovative engagement formats;
  • promotes inclusive participation by connecting businesses, public institutions, civil society and underrepresented stakeholders;
  • collects participant feedback and translates lessons learned into policy recommendations;
  • develops communication strategies, guidance materials and dissemination activities.

PřipravmeSe! – From policy to practice

As part of the long-term sustainability of Prepared Czechia, three project partners have established PřipravmeSe! (Get Ready!), an income-generation platform that transforms the project’s expertise into practical services for organisations.

PřipravmeSe! delivers experiential crisis simulations, preparedness training, consulting and resilience workshops based on realistic scenarios and the expertise of leading security, emergency management and communication professionals. It helps organisations identify vulnerabilities before crises occur, strengthen operational resilience, and improve cooperation and communication across sectors.

The experience, feedback and lessons generated through these activities continuously feed back into the Prepared Czechia project, supporting the development of practical recommendations, standards and public policies for strengthening the Czech Republic’s overall crisis preparedness.
